Alex Benton known as AB is Spirit 1260's Sport Watch Reporter.
Originally
born in Adelaide, South Australia, his first childhood memory was
"playing cricket in the backyard." Which could explain why he wanted to
be the Australian's Test Team first batsmen. Clearly this "didn't
happen" even though AB comes from a family of 2 sisters where he had to
"bowl,bat,field and keep score" by himself.
His sisters surely
teased him while growing up as his first crush was with Pamela Anderson
as he sat in his room dreaming of sport listening to his first ever CD;
Harry Connick Jr which he claims "still holds up."
He's a techno
savvy new age man to say the least and couldn't live without his
"iphone , ESPN, Foxtel...basically anything that delivers me a sports
score!"
AB's favorite TV show is Seinfeld and movie is Jerry Maguire. You're getting the picture here right?
He's sport obsessed.
Holidaying
away for the FIFA World Cup in 2006-07 and finishing in West Indies for
the ICC Cricket World Cup is his favorite holiday of all time. While if
AB ever did get stuck on a desert island he would take "A Wilson
sporting good volleyball" that he would name Wilson.
He'd like
best to sit down to dinner with Barack Obama and maybe "we could discuss
the NCAA Football playoff system and then shoot some hoops in between
entree and main course." His obsession in sport doesn't stop here. He'd
love to sleep with celebrity Gisele Bundchen and American Footballer Tom
Brady which he claims "would tick a few boxes for me."
